Lord of the Village It is a powerful single-vineyard wine, with a lot of character and the first red wine produced by Bodegas Señorío de Aldea.

Vineyard: Pago de La Loma. Planted in a vase.
Surface: 2.2 Ha
Production: 3500-4000 Kgs Ha.
Location: Village of San Esteban.
Soils: Stony and calcareous. Double slope with a northwest-southeast orientation.

Visual: Clean and bright, with a high layer. Cherry red color with a purple rim.
Aromatic: Intense aromas of great complexity. Aromas of wood, such as coffee, toffee, and spices (clove), blend well with very ripe red fruits like raspberries and stewed black fruits like plums. Balsamic and licorice notes, characteristic of the Tempranillo variety, are evident.
Taste: This is a pleasant wine, with a good balance between alcohol and acidity. Its palate is elegant, with ripe tannins. The aftertaste is persistent, leaving notes of very ripe fruit.
PREPARATION: The harvest was carried out manually on October 12 and 13, 2014, in 10 kg boxes at dawn.
A few minutes later, a third selection was made, bunch by bunch, on the table. After this, the grapes were destemmed and crushed before resting in stainless steel vats of less than 5,000 liters. Alcoholic fermentation was controlled at 25°C, with punching down and pumping over every six hours during the 15-day fermentation period.
After this initial fermentation, manual racking was carried out, which ended with gentle pressing, beginning malolactic fermentation at a temperature of 21°C. For this second fermentation, the wine was placed in French and American oak barrels, where it rested for 11 months. After this, it was bottled and kept in the bottle for at least 36 months before being released to the market.
